Wedding at Alvino Relais in Matera

Organizing the wedding of Carlo and Antonella in Matera was a journey rooted in tradition, elegance, and the pursuit of harmony. With Antonella hailing from Apulia and Carlo originally from Vicenza—though both live in Padua—the primary styling challenge was finding a balance capable of blending their different backgrounds and truly reflecting their love story. June 6th thus transformed into a day where every single detail spoke volumes about who they are.

The style of the event

The preparations kicked off under the banner of refined elegance. Antonella chose a stunning gown by Maison Signore selected at the Atelier Fabiana Spose, along with a second look by Rosa Clará from Mariages Atelier Sposi designed specifically for the cake-cutting moment. Hair styling by Missione Bellezza and guest makeup services entrusted to Parlemua and Gennaro Cifarelli completed a polished, timeless look. Every gesture, smile, and emotion from these early stages was captured with discretion and artistic mastery through the photography of Antonio Passiatore and the videography of Vincenzo Palumbo Films.

The ceremony: from Apulia to Basilicata

Carlo and Antonella’s journey began in Castellaneta, inside the solemn setting of the Church of San Michele Arcangelo, where the couple exchanged vows amid a deeply emotional atmosphere. Following the ceremony, the bride, groom, and their guests journeyed over into neighboring Basilicata to kick off the celebrations.

Planning a wedding in Matera offers breathtaking, timeless architectural backdrops, and it was right in the heart of this unique landscape that we found the ideal setting for the reception.

The reception and floral design

For the banquet and party, the choice fell upon the striking and sophisticated Alvino Relais, a former brick factory transformed into one of the region’s most prestigious design venues.

The coordinated design for the event focused on clean, essential elegance featuring a total white color palette to accentuate the historic venue’s architecture, dominated by calla lilies chosen for their sculptural lines and sophisticated sobriety. This floral architecture project was conceived and curated by La Fioreria AC, utilizing premium blooms selected by Boragine Fiori.

The evening unfolded with engaging rhythms and spectacular moments led by the musical entertainment of Shaker Agency Events, culminating in the highlight of the evening: cutting the wedding cake.

Behind the scenes: the art of coordination

A high-profile wedding in Matera like this one calls for a constant yet discreet presence. My planning and coordination work focused on staying a few steps ahead of the schedule: from the initial preparations right down to the cake cutting, the priority was ensuring every phase flowed naturally without a hitch. Of course, a successful wedding is always the result of flawless teamwork, and a special thank you goes out to all the partners and professionals involved.
